FLYGHT

A private jet to a beautiful life...<3 <3 <3

Stunin’ since 1908!!! Visited my cousin/soror’s alma mater Shaw University for homecoming so of course this was where I took my outfit pictures! For this outfit, I started with the skirt. I wanted to pull colors out of the skirt so I added a blue tee and a camel blazer. To top off this outfit, I wore my fav ankle books.

I’ve been wanting to wear a scarf like this for forever! I wanted my outfit to be simple enough to make that scarf the focus, but not too simple that it wouldn’t shine on its own. I started with a basic combo…a tee and denim shorts. Then, I added my black/white blazer and boots to add some drama.

A lady-like look with a casual twist. I got a new peplum and wanted to wear it with some color, so I tried on my blue skirt and it was a success! Next, I needed to accessorize because high neck tops always make me want to wear a necklace. It feels plain if I do not. Last, I wanted to make this a causal outfit so I threw on my favorite brown sandals.

Top: H&M, Skirt: H&M, Necklace: Accessorize, Sandals: Target

So I went to TJMaxx to buy a tray for my coffee table but I ended up leaving with these pants lol. If you follow my blog you know that I love to mix prints and that’s exactly what I did with these pants.

Pants: TJMaxx, Tank: XXI, Sandals: Target, Bag: Thrift

One of my favorite dresses! I knew immediately I wanted to wear this dress with my neon belt. To make the belt stand out, I wore my peep-toe booties. I wanted to keep my shoes neutral but interesting, which made these shoes perfect!

Dress: H&M, Belt: WetSeal, Boots: a gift

A full thrift outfit! I love thrifting more than anything because I love finding today’s trends for $4 or less! I knew I wanted to pair my new bandeau top with my pastel floral blazer but what was I going to put on the bottom? I didn’t want to do blue denim…too boring. So I decided to put on my pale yellow shorts (diy shorts made out of thrift pants). I loved the idea of yellow on yellow so I ran with it!

New Jacket! It was 90 degrees this day but I was extra excited about this jacket so I had to wear it. I paired it with a printed neon top, which made the neutral jacket pop. Then, I paired that with a neon pink belt and shoes. Matchy but in a cute way!

Jacket: Gap, Top: H&M, Shorts: Unsure, Belt: WetSeal, Shoes: Target

Yes I am a print mixer and I’m proud of it! Printed bottoms always challenge me to mix it with a printed top. For this challenge I put these gray leopard jeans with a watercolor striped top. As I previously posted, one key to mixing prints is to choose a bold print and a subtle print.

Shirt: Gap, Jeans: Target, Heels: Target, Purse: Coach

New Loafers! I had to find something bright to wear with these shoes from Target. I paired them with a floral blue top because I love blue and green together. Then I put on my neon shorts

Top: Target, Short: Old Navy, Loafers: Target

After Church:

I want something simple for my after church look. I love hot pink and cobalt blue together so I just put on my blue shorts.

Shirt: Gap, Shorts: Gap, Shoes: Wet Seal

Church:

All Pink Everything!!! I love monochromatic outfits! To tie in the pinks I add a white belt. Then I threw on my heels that go with any pastel look.

Shirt: Gap, Skirt: H&M, Belt: Wet Seal, Heels: Madden Girl, Shades: H&M

I love accessories! They can jazz up any simple outfit!

Shirt: H&M, Shorts: Gap, Hat: Target, Necklace: XXI, Shoes: XXI

So I went to Gap and found these shorts on sale for $15! I knew I wanted to mix prints. I’ve been doing a lot of pink on pink so I wanted to mix it up. I put on this blue striped Polo button-up because it continued the vertical lines that are in shorts. And of course I put on my favorite Old Navy sandals that I believe goes with everything lol.
