I love simple outfits! I threw on this awesome Target tribal print dress and a pair of Old Navy sandals. Then I added this Target hat because I felt it would make this outfit look more casual and the print went with the print of the dress.
Fav Summer Sunnies!
It started with the shades. I received these great sunnies from Retrocitysunglasses.com and feel in LOVE! I immediately had outfit ideas for the shades but I had to decide if I was going to go for the vintage look or the bad ass look. Because I couldn’t choose, I decided to combined the looks and my inspiration became Cruella Deville.
I’m always about choosing pieces that help another piece shine. I love this Gap top so I thought the best way to make it pop was by pairing it with these Old Navy neon short, Old Navy neon shoes, and blue F21 necklace.
I’m clearly going through a neon phase. I wanted to wear a t-shirt and jeans with a twist. I feel like this neon Gap tee, green pants, and neon belt were the perfect twist. Because there was a lot of colors in the outfit, I decided to throw on some neutral shoe. My key to color blocking is to not go beyond three colors unless its a monochromatic color scheme. Also, it helps to add a neutral to the color blocking look.
Neon and Tropical! I wanted to pair this H&M skirt with a shirt that was interesting but not distracting. I feel like this Limited, sherbet, peter pan collar shirt was perfect! To keep the neon going I wore my Old Navy neon yellow sandals.
Matchy Matchy! It’s not always bad to be matchy. With this outfit I wanted to make the subtle colors in this H&M shirt pop. The H&M jeans brought out the pink and the Target shoes brought out the yellow and grey. If I would of worn orange pants that would of been considered a bad “matchy” look because the orange is an obvious color in the shirt.
Leopard jeans for just $7! Found these bad boys at Target on clearance…and to think I almost bought them for full price months back. To make them pop I added vibrant colors. As you’ll can see my fav color combo at the moment is blue and neon green. They are so refreshing together!
PRINTS!!! One way to mix prints is to keep the prints in the same color scheme. For this outfit I kept the color scheme neutral so it didn’t seem like there was a lot going on.
On a hot day all I want to do it throw on a dress. I added a pop of color with the neon green belt and continued the blue with the shoes.
This outfit started with the Gap shorts. I immediately know I wanted to mix prints so I chose this striped Christian Dior cardigan (found at the thrift!). I added this Old Navy green tee because I felt as if it complemented the blue. I wanted to keep the shoes neutral so the brogues were perfect!
Bright and simple. I’m not usually a hoodie girl but I will buy one that interest me. I love the color of this H&M hoodie and I thought it would go great with these bright Old Navy shorts. To dress the outfit up a bit, I threw on some detailed sandals.
Bold from head to toe! By choosing classic items (button-up and jeans) in bold prints and colors I was able to wear these pieces without worrying if it would be too much.
