Finding an oversize “grandpa” sweater has been my biggest mission this fall…and of course I found it at the thrift. For this outfit, I simple paired the sweater with leggings and cute gray ankle boots. Then I added a gold braided necklace because the burgundy and burnt orange in the sweater go perfect with gold. This is a great outfit for those days you don’t fell like wearing a coat!

A sweater and mini makes a quick and easy outfit! To make this look interesting, I added pops of color, an unexpected neutral boot, and my favorite rhinestone earring.

Giving the night some sexy! Here’s another going out look…as you can see I rarely go out. For this look, the skirt was the start. I wanted to have a blousy top so I chose this white and black blouse. To add some ruggedness to the look, I threw on my super high lace-up boots. Because this was for night, I had to put some bling on my ears!

It’s been awhile but back to my regularly scheduled program…PRINT MIXING! Lately I’ve been obsessed with Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine and I felt like this look was subconsciously inspired by her. She’s the ultimate print queen!

The Modern Track Suit!
A big trend lately is dressing up casual pieces. Track pants are the ultimate casual and I decided to challenge myself to dress them up. To achieve this look, I kept my clothing casual by adding a tee and matching jacket. The look relied heavily on my accessories to make it dressy. I started with my earrings, the earring style is usually for evening wear but I thought they would be perfect for dressing up this look. Then, I added a pointy-toe pump to add some class. Last, I adding a splash of color with a nice handbag.

Boots and a fur! I felt like being fluffy this day…but also casual. Instead of wearing my black patent leather pumps, I opted for my ruffle gold boots.

Preppy time! Got a new sweater and couldn’t wait to wear it! I layered it with a collar shirt and put on my favorite baggy jeans. To “sex up” this look, I added a sleek black pump.

North Carolina’s weather is so unpredictable so I usually don’t pack my shorts until November (this look is from October). To create a fall look with summer shorts, I focused on color. I used common fall colors such as orange and olive. Of course this look started with the shorts. Next, I wanted to use the jacket to tone down the summer look of the shorts. Then, I add an orange top to match the shorts so the olive jacket could pop. Last, I put on my favorite fall boots…I call them fall boots because a peep toe boot isn’t that functional in the winter lol.

Neon and Ox Blood
A simple look can be easily transformed by adding bold colors. I love combining ox blood with neons so for this look I used yellow. To bring this outfit together, I added some casual neutrals…the jacket and boots. Neutrals can always bring a color blocking look together.

Stunin’ since 1908!!! Visited my cousin/soror’s alma mater Shaw University for homecoming so of course this was where I took my outfit pictures! For this outfit, I started with the skirt. I wanted to pull colors out of the skirt so I added a blue tee and a camel blazer. To top off this outfit, I wore my fav ankle books.

The best thing about fall is boots and sweaters! With this look I kept it simple. Each piece was simple with an interesting twist…a stripe sweater, navy pants instead of jeans, strappy boots, and a ruffle jacket.
